Acupuncture for Women's Health

Do you feel as if the older you get, the harder it is to be healthy?  Does it seem like everyone you know has some chronic illness?  Are you looking for natural ways to remain healthy or to re-gain your health?

Here are common stories of other people, just like you, who have turned to acupuncture:

Donna is 51 and is beginning menopause.  She wakes up at night drenched in sweat.  During the day, she is having an increasing number of hot flashes and it is rather uncomfortable.  She is wondering if she should go on natural hormone replacement therapy but she is nervous about the mixed recommendations she has heard.  She would love to find a natural remedy for her symptoms.

Selena is 28 and has gained 40 pounds in the past year.  She is also extremely tired and she has noticed her skin is especially dry and her hair has been falling out.  Her doctor has just diagnosed her with hypothyroidism.  She is following the advice of her doctors and would like to know if acupuncture can help her.

Tina is 48 and has dealt with depression and anxiety for most of her adult life.  She is currently on anti-depressants and would like to eventually get off the medications with her doctor’s approval.  She is searching for an alternative therapy that can help her with this process.

Karen is 32 and has suffered with migraines for over a decade.  The migraines started when she was in college.  She also gets frequent sinus infections and seasonally allergies.  Her friend got rid of her migraines with acupuncture and she has heard acupuncture can help with her sinuses and allergies as well.

Ginger is 34 and has two children age 6 and 2.  Both of her kids have had multiple ear infections, multiple rounds of antibiotics, and her older son has just been diagnosed with ADHD.  Ginger has suffered from frequent urinary tract infections and digestive disorders.  She would like to use a natural approach to her family’s health and she is hoping acupuncture can help.

Elaine is 65 and has always had a high-powered stressful career.  Lately she just can’t keep up physically as it feels as if everything is falling apart at once.  She also has trouble sleeping and chronic back pain.  Her doctors have suggested sleeping pills and pain killers and she is wondering what she can do naturally on her own to feel better.

Belinda, age 62 is in great health and she would like to keep it that way.  She is looking to receive acupuncture treatments to tap into ancient methods of maintaing wellness.

Treatments are Individualized for You
The first appointment is a two-hour consultation and treatment session. During this visit we will speak at length about your health history, your most important concern that lead you to acupuncture, and any other concerns you have.  You will receive a Chinese pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and a full acupuncture treatment.  The objective of the first appointment is for you to understand how your seemingly unrelated health issues may all be from an underlying imbalance and what can be done to feel better.  This appointment is done in two one-hour sessions that most people schedule back-to-back.  Each one-hour session is $115.

Feel Better than You Have in Years
Treatments begin with time to reflect on the changes in the body.  You may notice that your main concern is getting better and things you did not even know were a problem are resolving themselves as well.  You may notice that you mood is improved and that you are sleeping more soundly.  These are all signs that your health is improving.  You will receive an ongoing assessment of tongue and pulse and a full acupuncture treatment.  Your treatment involves needles and/or moxa (a warming herb that is placed on the skin)  and last for approximately one hour $85
