In 2009, out of the 34 women that received acupuncture treatments for at least three months at Stillwater Fertility Clinic...21 became pregnant!
2/3 conceived naturally and 1/3 conceived with the help of IVF or IUI.
On average, women were trying to conceive for 14 months before coming into the clinic. After beginning acupuncture, 70% conceived within three months.
The average number of treatments before conceiving was 10 which means on average women spent under $1,000 to become pregnant.
Consider that approximately half of all fertility problems are related to male factors so success rates can increase even higher if both partners are treated.

A little over two years ago, my husband and I started trying to get pregnant. At the time I was 36 years old and this was my first attempt to have a baby.
Around the same time, I also made some changes to my diet and started cleaning out my system of all artificial sweeteners, caffeine and junk.
After 6 months of nothing, we decided to see a fertility specialist for help. I was put through a battery of tests and found out that I had Graves Disease, a form of hyperthyroidism, and that my FSH levels were very high (they like you to be at 8 while mine were at 15.9).
My prognosis was bleak at best. I was informed that I had about a 15% chance of getting pregnant with IVF and a 60-65% chance if used donor eggs instead of my own. I'll never forget sitting in that office, sobbing, while I looked at my husband in disbelief. I was crushed to say the least. I'd finally found the man that I wanted to have a child with and our chances were slim at best.
I was told that I had to take care of my Graves Disease before I could even think about getting pregnant. I chose to have radioactive iodine treatment in March of 2008 and subsequently became Hypothyroid from that.
After much consideration, my husband and I decided that if we couldn't have a baby naturally, then it was not meant to be. We were not willing to undergo the intense treatment involved with IVF nor the $20,000 price tag that comes with it.
We started trying again, the old fashioned way, in late October. After doing some research on line, I decided that I wanted to try Acupuncture to assist us in the process and my husband agreed.
In mid November, I met with Cara for the first time and just knew that I had found the right person to help us. She was so thorough, so knowledgeable and had such a comforting way about her.
I began my three month program and absolutely looked forward to each weekly appointment, as I felt fantastic after I left each one. In addition to charting my temperature, I made a few dietary changes that she recommended and started taking more yoga classes.
I was so sure that we'd get pregnant the first month but to my disappointment, we did not. I cried with Cara because I felt that comfortable with her to share my emotions. The next month came and went and although we did not get pregnant, I had become so in tune with my body and just felt incredibly good.
Just before my three month program came to an end, I found out the FANTASTIC news that I was pregnant. I called my husband first and Cara second.
I am now in my 18th week and feeling great. I can never thank Cara enough for what she's done for us, as I truly believe that this would never have happened without her help and her nurturing. I also truly believe that the change in my diet and in my attitude had as much to do with me getting pregnant. Thank you Cara, you hold a very special place in my heart.

Unfortunately, at eleven weeks I miscarried. Because it was my first miscarriage, I was advised to wait a bit and then try again.
I sought out acupuncture because I wanted to give my next pregnancy the very best start. I began seeing Cara immediately and found great comfort in her knowledge and optimism.
My cycles became regular, my energy increased and my feeling of overall well-being is at a new high. After two months of treatment, and the recommended two cycles, we tried again and got pregnant right away. I am 34 years old and have been trying to have a baby for 2 years.

In 2008 I became pregnant again and unfortunately had another miscarriage. At this point, I went to a specialist who suggested surgery. After the surgery, they recommended I take Clomid and do an IUI. The IUI was not successful.

Fertility had never been so much a concern for me. Until, my husband relapsed with Hodkin’s Lymphoma and required high-dose chemo, radiation, and a bone marrow treatment. Luckily his doctors highly recommended we freeze some of his guys because the likelihood of him being sterile because of the treatments was very high. They were correct.

Two month ago, Jobi, upset and angry called Stillwater Fertility Clinic. She had just been told by another fertility clinic that she was not a candidate for IVF or any fertility procedure they offer. She couldn't believe they wouldn't even take her money to give her a chance to conceive.
She signed up for Stillwater's Three Month Program and began acupuncture treatments twice a week. In addition, Jobi learned about natural ways she could increase her fertility. She even went to the grocery store with Cara to learn about foods that could increase her fertility. At the same time, she found another fertility clinic and they said they would do an IVF with her. Her chances of success according to them were 4% based on her age and other factors.
2 1/2 months into her 3 month program, she came in with the happy news that she was PREGNANT.
One fertility clinic wouldn't even treat her, another gave her a 4% success rate, and today she is happy and pregant.

She agreed and came back into the room saying it was negative. I proceeded to do her treatment and then left the room. I couldn't resist peeking at the test that was in the trash and wouldn't you know, it was *positive* ! I went back into the treatment room to show Barbara and I don't know if she was more surprised that she was pregnant or that I went in the trash!
