Acupuncture while Pregnant
While pregnant, acupuncture can provide relief for a number of pregnancy-related situations. Here are some common stories:
Mandy is 9 weeks pregnant and is constantly nauseous. She is also extremely tired which does not make it easy to be with her two year old all day. She has tried ginger and some other natural remedies and nothing has helped. She has heard that acupuncture may be an effective way to get relief from nausea and she would like to know more.
Tina is 38 weeks pregnant and her baby is breech. If the baby does not turn in the next two weeks, her doctor said that she will have a C-section. She has always imagined a natural birth and would like to have one if at all possible. While researching ways to turn a breech baby, she found out about acupuncture. She is excited about the possibility of avoiding a C-section.
Becky is 41 1/2 weeks pregnant. She is hanging in there even though all of her friends and family are calling every day to find out if she is in labor yet. She had planned to have her baby at the birth center, yet their policy is that if someone is more than two weeks past their due date, they will deliver at the hospital. She would love a natural way to begin her labor and she heard that acupuncture can help.
Karen is 25 weeks pregnant and is growing increasingly anxious about the upcoming birth. She is terrified of doctors, needles, and pain. She is wondering if there is a way to have a positive birth experience even though every time she thinks about the birth, she is scared to death. She has heard that acupuncture helps with relaxation and wants to know if it could help her.
Kim is 16 weeks pregnant with her second child. After the birth of her first child three years ago, she suffered from post partum depression. She would like to enjoy the newborn phase, yet she is concerned that she will have the same experience as last time. Her therapist recommended she look into acupuncture.
There are countless stories of women, just like you, researching natural and safe remedies for their pregnancy.
Stillwater Fertility Clinic can help.
Treatments are Individualized for You
The first appointment is a two-hour consultation and treatment session. During this visit we will speak at length about your health history, your pregnancy, and any concerns you have. You will have an opportunity to see how seemingly unrelated health concerns may all be part of an underlying imbalance that can be corrected with acupuncture. You will receive a Chinese pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and a full acupuncture treatment. This appointment is done in two one-hour sessions that most people schedule back-to-back. Each one-hour session is $85.
Have a Healthy Pregnancy and a Healthy Baby
We begin each session with time to reflect on the changes in the body. You will receive an ongoing assessment of tongue and pulse and a full acupuncture treatment. Your treatment involves needles and/or moxa (a warming herb that is placed on the skin) and last for approximately one hour $85
